Project Overview
2017 was the 50th anniversary of Lowe Alpine and they recruited Band of Birds to support with the communications across press and social media.
Alongside a wider range of support we worked with the Lowe Alpine team to devise the Ice Axe Challenge to celebrate the key product from 2017 - The Ascent Superlight all within the fun and rebellious tone which the Lowe brothers set with the brand all those years ago.
The challenge became a hit not only on their own channels but ran at consumer facing events across Europe and culminating in the Ice Axe Challenge being a central part of Lowe Alpine's hut at Kendal Mountain Festival which managed to pull in adventurers such as Ben Page, Jenny Tough and the great Steve Backshall into the challenge!
