Project Overview

Kendal Mountain Festival is the outdoor event across the UK.

Over recent years, the brand has continued to evolve and develop, reaching new audiences and expanding its programme to include not just films and talks but a whole extra Arts and Literature programme. Kendal Mountain Festival recruited Band of Birds to support their digital communications channels in the build up to and over the festival.

Band of Birds has produced a multi-channel digital communications campaign for the Festival since 2016. We have provided a campaign across the festival's social media channels which aims to guide the customer through the extensive and diverse programme at each years festival through highlight videos of each film programme to interviews with the festival team as well as providing live reporting from the festival as it kicks off and gets underway and provide customer services support throughout.

Over the two years we have been proud to have helped in growing the Kendal Mountain Festival brand by:

  • Almost tripled their Instagram account and successfully established Instagram Stories as an additional channel for the festival.

  • Supported the launch of two of the most viewed trailers for the festival in its history.

  • Driven more traffic to the Festival website via social media than at any time in its previous history.
