The Outdoor City Weekender 2018
The Outdoor City Weekender is a special date in the calendar for lovers of the Great Outdoors. Now in its third year, the Outdoor City Weekender brings together four core events which show Sheffield off at its very best; bringing together the local community and businesses to celebrate the love of outdoor sports with events such as The Howard Street Dual; an inner city MTB downhill to the gruelling and awesome spectacle of the Magnificent Seven hill challenge.
Tackling the Outdoor City Weekender is a daunting task: multiple teams across multiple sites with several stakeholders and several issues to address at any one time but it is one of the most rewarding projects we do as we get the opportunity to work with amazing people from across the Outdoor City network: businesses, volunteers, members of the council, athletes and charities.
This year we wanted to not only capture all the action from the each event (and trust us, it is a LOT of action) but we also wanted to capture all the elements which make the Outdoor City so special whether that is the fancy dress at CWIF, the camaraderie shown on the finish line at the Magnificent Seven and the concentration on the riders face ahead of a run at the Howard Street Dual.
