Born in Edinburgh and introduced to climbing at the age of 6 by his brother who discovered the sport at Scouts, Will has had a mercurial rise within the British climbing scene which has gained national and international attention.

At 16, Will climbed Monk Life (8b+) in Kyloe which signalled the start of a chain of impressive ascents on boulder and sport including a rare repeat of Hubble (9a) at Raven’s Tor and a rapid ascent of Practice of the Wild (8c), one of the hardest boulder problems in the world.

Will’s accomplishments are not limited to outdoors, his talents are evident in the competition climbing scene also. Will is the current British Speed Climbing Champion as well as the British Lead Champion and he was the first Brit to make an IFSC lead climbing final in nearly 30 years in Chamonix last year.

Will’s enthusiasm and versatility in performing at an elite level across a number of climbing discipline making him well placed to meet the demands of the new Olympic combined discipline that requires athletes to compete across lead, speed and bouldering.

Will is a member of the GB Climbing Team and recipient of UK Sport’s Aspiration Fund. He currently splits his training between Ratho and Sheffield where he based.

Appearances in Media

http://www.epictv.com We were in the Peak District recently, filming with Wild Country and UK climber Will Bosi. Will jumped on Ben Moon's iconic 9a Hubble to "give it a go" and found it was just his kind of style. He then went and climbed it a few weeks later.

British record-holding speed climber Will Bosi can climb a 15-metre vertical wall in just 8.45 seconds. Before the Climbing World Cup in Edinburgh this weekend, BBC Sport asks Will to show off his skills racing against people trying ordinary day-to-day stuff.
